The Challenge: Fine Dust in a Sterile Environment

Post-construction environments are notoriously difficult to clean because of fine particulate matter. Drywall dust, in particular, becomes airborne easily and settles on every horizontal and vertical surface. For a retail pharmacy, this is unacceptable. The space needed to be completely neutralized and sanitized before sensitive medical inventory could be brought in.

Working within a tight overnight window, our four-person commercial crew arrived fully equipped with HEPA-filtered vacuums, microfiber containment systems, and commercial-grade degreasers. The goal was simple: execute a flawless handover by morning.

Execution: Systematic Top-to-Bottom Detailing

We implemented a strict top-down cleaning protocol. This ensures that any disturbed dust falls to surfaces that haven't been cleaned yet, preventing cross-contamination. Our process included:

• High-dusting of all HVAC vents, lighting fixtures, and drop-ceiling grids to remove trapped construction debris.
• Detailed wiping and sanitization of all new shelving units, pharmacy counters, and dispensing stations.
• Removal of protective films, adhesive residues, and contractor markings from glass partitions and casework.
• Multi-pass HEPA vacuuming of the commercial carpeting to extract embedded fine dust, followed by a final extraction pass.

The Result: Ready for Business

By morning, the pharmacy was transformed from an active construction zone into a pristine, retail-ready environment. The air quality was noticeably improved thanks to our HEPA filtration, and every surface was smooth, sanitized, and ready for stocking. The general contractor was able to hand over the keys on schedule, and the store management could immediately begin their merchandising phase without delay.
